These web pages will walk you through some easy arithmetic. It will be mostly multiplication and division. The arithmetic will help you figure out how to build your models. A simple pocket calculator will come in handy. If you like to play with numbers, using a calculator as you view these pages will teach you a lot. You'll see some very big numbers as you make your Earth-Moon model.

Here are some things you should remember:

1,000 times 1,000 = 1,000,000 (a million)

1,000 times a million = 1,000,000,000 (a billion)

1,000 times a billion = 1,000,000,000,000 (a trillion)

Millions, billions, and trillions. All are used in making models of the universe.
